Commiseration

I just found out that my friend lost his job this morning. He worked for the same company I did, in fact I helped him get the job. My prayers go out to him and his family, even though we might be competing for the same jobs. He has a wife, a daughter, and a child on the way. I was in shock when it happened to me, I can only imagine how frightening it must be to have two more lives under my care. After four months they let him go, citing money as the issue, and offering him a pittance for severance. I am glad, in a way, to no longer work for them.

Thanks for your prayers. They are much appreciated. This is a hard situation (as you well know), but I find comfort in knowing that God is in control. I know that is an over-used cliché, but it really is true. There is a reason for this and I am looking forward to seeing what God has in store for us.

Thanks again.
