Flagrantly Illegal

{Journal} Topics:

Someday someone will be able to tell me the advantages of living in a highly litigious society, but if that happens they will not be able to explain this story or the host of dumb laws. I cannot help but to laugh and cheer them on, even though everything they will do is technically illegal. In some small way I hope their efforts will bring about a change and get some of these stupid laws off our books. It’s bad enough we have to endure stupid warning labels all over the place (Do we really need to be told that a bucket of soap once emptied, then filled with water, could kill a child if it stuck it’s head in the bucket of water for a sufficient amount of time?) but to have to endure some really stupid laws is a mockery of our justice system. Can we really ask for justice when we make it illegal to go whale hunting in a land-locked state?
