I have created an RSS feed for the comments on this site. http://blog.0kelvin.net/comments.xml
I have once again decided to fiddle with my commenting system. I have reinstated comments, but you will need to provide a TypeKey account. This should protect me from most of the spam, and should that fail I've finally installed some software on my end to better manage that. I will leave the Google group up and open for discussions, since I'm still not convinced comments are the best place to have a conversation.
Enjoy!
A while back I decided to remove the commenting feature of my weblog. I was getting more spam comments than legitimate comments. The comments I was getting were nice, but in most cases an email would have done much better, especially considering the debate nature of my entries, and the discussion seeking I want to pursue. So, unless I change my mind there is a new comment policy: send me (scb at 0kelvin.net) an email. If you really want to have your thoughts published use my trackback feature and publish your response in your own weblog, that will stay active until it starts being abused.
I would like to make a brief note regarding comments. I have allowed people to leave their comments on this site, and I have yet to employ any forms of censorship. I feel my writing should stand on its own, and if I am wrong then I will make amends and correct myself. You will notice I require a name and email address or a web page for all who post comments. This is because I do not want anonymous comments, and the software asks for these three fields. If you are going to leave a comment, feel free, but I ask you to do me these few courtesies.
First, if you do not know me personally but wish to use an alias, send me a quick introduction email. You can guess my email address; my initials are on every post and my domain is in the URL. Second, if you do not want to leave a valid email address (and I do not blame you) use an address at Mailinator.
I am only asking two things, and I do not feel I am asking too much. Please keep this in mind in the future.
