Every sin bears a consequence. The tricky thing is, contrary to our conditioning as children, not all consequences are immediate. When a child disobeys his parents there is an immediate consequence. However, as we grow older do we forget that some consequences are delayed? Have we forgotten that some consequences don’t come into effect until we face God after our last breath? Is this why even Christians sin? Do we sometimes think we got away with it because there were no immediate consequences?
